There we were, my high school girlfriend and I, near some sand dunes at Jones Beach on Long Island. She said, let’s see how long we can kiss. How long? How long. Okay.
And here, all these years later, is my song about that. It’s called Kiss Me Longer.

Feeling a bit Irish, or wishing you were in a pub having a great time with your friends?

“Irish All The Way” (lyrics by Allan Provost, music by John Dusenberry, performed by Jerry McLean and Blackthorne Aire)

A few years ago I wrote the music for Allan Provost’s lyric about a feeling of sadness at Christmas time, “Where Will I Be Next Christmas?”, which may be appropriate for these pandemic times.
For some reason, this year, maybe because I was thinking about simpler, happier times in the past, or perhaps thinking ahead to a post-pandemic Christmas, I don’t know, but I decided to write a cheerful song, “A Christmas Toast”.
And so here they are:

And then a few years later, Elizabeth Keyser, sister of my friend and former workmate Ralph Keyser, asked me to set her "A Seasonal Preference" poem to music. It's about a preferred way of celebrating the holiday.
